GoFrogs: TCU sweeps San Diego
SAN DIEGO Cole Cramer's ninth inning home run secured No. 18 TCU's 7-6 comeback win over San Diego Monday afternoon at Fowler Park. Cole Cramer homered twice and drove in three to help the Horned Frogs record their first sweep of the season.

The Rundown
The game was a see-saw battle from start to finish. After San Diego tied the game at six in the seventh, the Toreros threatened to take the lead in the eighth with runners on the corners and one out. A line drive ricocheted high into the air off of Mason Brassfield's (1-0) foot and into the glove of Cole Cramer. In the midst of the confusion, Cramer recognized the ball was a pop out and doubled off the base runner at first to end the inning.

Cramer lead off the ninth and battled his way to a 3-2 count before delivering the eventual game-winning home run to left center, his second of the game. The combination of Brassfield and Kade Eudy retired the Toreros in order in the ninth to seal the victory, giving Brassfield his first career win and Eudy his first career save.

TCU and San Diego traded first inning runs. Chase Brunson started a two-out rally for the Frogs and scored on a Cole Cramer double. The Toreros answered with a two-out home run to tie the game at one.

San Diego took a 4-1 lead with a three spot in the second. The big blow in the inning was a two-out home run from Jack Gurevitch.

TCU rallied with four runs in the fourth. Sawyer Strosnider cut the deficit to two with an RBI single to drive in Jack Bell who had led off the inning with a double. Isaac Cadena's double brought TCU within one and Chase Brunson's two-run blast gave TCU the 5-4 lead.

San Diego tied the game at five in the fourth, only to see Cramer break the tie with a lead-off home run in the fifth, setting up the wild finish.

Zack James started for the Frogs and allowed four runs on six hits. He struck out two and walked one in 2 2/3 innings. Gianluca Shinn went 1 1/3 innings, giving up a run on two hits and striking out one. Louis Rodriguez fanned seven over three innings, allowing a run on three hits.
