FORT WORTH – TCU scored four times in the seventh to rally for a 6-4 win over Houston Saturday afternoon at Lupton Stadium. The sweep of Houston is TCU's first in the Big 12 this season. Ben Abeldt tossed 2 2/3 scoreless to pick up the win in relief.

The Rundown
Entering the seventh, TCU found itself trailing 4-2. Cougar miscues in the inning contributed to all four runs scoring as they committed two errors and threw two wild pitches. The first Cougar error allowed Karson Bowen to score to make it a 4-3 game. Two wild pitches tied the game. Chase Brunson put the Frogs on top with a sacrifice fly. Another Cougar error allowed Logan Maxwell to score for a 6-4 lead.

Ben Abeldt (1-0) took over on the mound in the seventh. He worked around a base runner in each of his two innings of work. Abeldt gave way to Zachary Cawyer with two outs in the ninth and he recorded the final out to pick up his first career save.

TCU built a 2-0 lead through the first three innings. A lead-off walk to Anthony Silva in the second followed by a Houston error had the Frogs in business with runners on the corners and one out. Fisher Ingersoll hit a sacrifice fly to make it a 1-0 game. Kurtis Byrne grounded out to drive in Brunson in the third.

Houston took the lead with three runs in the fifth. The first three Cougars reached as they cut the lead in half on an RBI-double. A one-out single drove in two more to give Houston a 3-2 lead. The Cougars added an unearned run in the sixth to open up a two-run lead.

Kole Klecker started for the Frogs and allowed three runs on five hits in 4 1/3 innings. He struck out five and did not walk a batter in the no-decision. Caedmon Parker allowed an unearned run on one hit, walked two and struck out two in 1 2/3 innings.
