FORT WORTH –
No. 10 TCU completed the series sweep of Liberty with a 12-2 victory in Game 2 of a Saturday doubleheader at Lupton Stadium. Austin Krob threw a career-high six innings and Brayden Taylor hit his first career home run in the victory.

The Horned Frogs stretched the lead to five scoring a trio of runs in the second without the benefit of a hit. Two walks and a hit batter loaded the bases to open the inning. A double play attempt by the Flames went awry and two runs scored. Elijah Nunez stole home to push the lead to 5-0.

The Frogs answered in the bottom half of the inning on Brayden Taylors first career home run. The blast to right center brought home a trio of runs to push the lead to six, 8-2.

Kurtis Byrne doubled home two runs in the fifth with a double to left. Sikes collected his third RBI of the game with a base hit in the sixth. Byrne beat out a double play ball later in the inning to drive in TCU's final run of the contest.

Austin Krob (1-0) turned in a quality start for the Frogs allowing two runs on six hits. He struck out five and walked one in earning the victory. Drew Hill, River Ridings and Garrett Wright combined to throw three scoreless innings to close out the game. Hill and Wright fanned two batters each.
