GoFrogs: TCU Routs Houston, 14-1
FORT WORTH – TCU routed Houston, 14-1, Thursday night at Lupton Stadium to give head coach Kirk Saarloos his 100th career victory as the head coach. All nine starters recorded a hit in the contest. Five Horned Frogs drove in at least two runs, led by three each from Chase Brunson and Ryder Robinson. Louis Rodriguez struck out a career-high 10 batters.

The Rundown
Louis Rodriguez (3-0) put together his first career quality start. The sophomore twirled eight shutout innings, allowing three hits and striking out a career-high 10 batters. He retired the first 12 batters he faced and allowed just one base runner through seven innings.

It was a pitcher's duel through the first three innings, but the Frogs finally broke through with four two out runs in the fourth Chase Brunson's bases-loaded single gave the Frogs a 2-0 lead. Ryder Robinson followed with a two-run double for a 4-0 lead.

The Frogs went on to add a run in every subsequent inning. Karson Bowen's two-out base hit in the fifth extended the lead to 5-0. Kurtis Byrne smoked a two-run single in the sixth to push the lead to 7-0.

A six-run seventh put the game out of reach. The first six batters reach in the inning and all six score. Camden Sos led off the frame with a double and scored on a Bowen base hit. A single and an error plated two more runs. Logan Maxwell doubled home two and scored on an Anthony Silva base hit to make it a 13-0 ballgame.

Dallen Leach doubled to open the eight and scored on a Robinson grounder for the final TCU run. Houston's lone run came on a two-out home run from Jonathan French in the ninth.

TCU recorded its first 20-hit game of the season. The 21 hits match the last 20-hit game the Frogs posted on June 4, 2023 at Arkansas.
