- TCU is 10-6 versus the Jayhawks in Lawrence, 10-2-2 in Fort Worth and 2-0-2 in the four games (1944-47) played in Kansas City.
- A 20-6 TCU victory at Kansas in 2012 marked the Horned Frogs' inaugural Big 12 game.
- Prior to TCU beginning Big 12 play in 2012, the schools had not met on the gridiron since a 17-10 KU victory in Lawrence in 1997, the year before Gary Patterson arrived at TCU as defensive coordinator.

ROAD WORK
- TCU's 38 road wins since 2009 are third in the nation.
- At 38-12 (.760), TCU has the nation's fourth-best road record since 2009.
- TCU's 45-18 record (.714) in road and neutral-site games since 2009 is the nation's sixth-best mark.

TIES TO THE SUNFLOWER STATE
- TCU head coach Gary Patterson was born in Larned, Kan., and is a native of Rozel, Kan.
- Patterson went to Pawnee Heights High School and then Dodge City Community College, before heading to Kansas State. He was a strong safety and outside linebacker for the Wildcats.

FAMILIAR FACE
- Kansas recruiting and special teams coordinator Kenny Perry was TCU's cornerbacks coach in 2014, after serving as the Horned Frogs' director of high school relations in 2013.
- Perry was previously the head coach at nearby Arlington Bowie High School, where he coached TCU cornerback Tony James and safety Niko Small.

TCU NOTABLES
- Over the last five seasons, TCU (43-17, 27-13) has the Big 12's second-best overall and conference records.
- TCU is one of just five programs nationally to finish in the top 10 of the final polls at least three times in the last four seasons. The others are Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma.
- Gary Patterson's 18 seasons as TCU's head coach are more than the combined tenures of the 11 other FBS head coaches in the state of Texas.
- Under Patterson, TCU has posted seven top-10 finishes and 11 in the top 25. The Horned Frogs have won at least 11 games in 10 of the last 15 seasons.
- Patterson has accounted for 25.2 percent (163-of-674) of TCU's all-time football victories.
- Ten of TCU's 12 regular-season games are in Texas. TCU will stay in the same Fort Worth hotel for nine of its 12 contests. The Horned Frogs have only two flights this season.
- TCU is in the midst of a $100 million premium seating expansion of Amon G. Carter Stadium. Completion will be in time for the 2019 season.
- Three of TCU's four losses this season are to teams ranked in the AP top 11: No. 6 Texas, No. 8 Oklahoma and No. 11 Ohio State. The Horned Frogs held second-half leads against the Longhorns and Buckeyes.
- TCU is 111-5 under Patterson when allowing 17 points or less.
- TCU tops the Big 12 and is 12th nationally in third-down defense, allowing opponents to convert on just 29.9 percent (29-of-97) of its opportunities. Oklahoma was just 3-of-12 against the Horned Frogs.
- Preseason Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Ben Banogu has a team-best 4.5 sacks and seven quarterback hurries.
- Twenty-five of Jalen Reagor's team-best 38 receptions have been for a first down or touchdown.
- Ty Summers' 310 career tackles rank third among active players in Power 5 programs.
