• Samuel is shooting 64.5 percent from the field and is averaging 8.7 rebounds per game, which ranks fifth in the Big 12, and 2.7 blocks per game, which leads the Big 12 and ranks 12th in the nation. Samuel’s 11
double-doubles ranks first in the Big 12. He's had at least five blocks in a game seven times this season.
• Bane is top five all-time at TCU in career points (5th), field goals (5th) and 3-pointers (4th). At 1,667 career points, Bane is chasing Dick O’Neal for fourth at 1,723 points.
• At 148 career blocked shots, Samuel is fifth on TCU's all-time list. Kurt Thomas is next at 166 blocks.
• Edric Dennis is nine points away from 1,000 DI career points. Dennis was at Jackson State as a sophomore and UTA as a junior.

LAST TIME OUT
A cold-shooting second half hurt the TCU men’s basketball team in a 70-56 loss at Texas Wednesday at Frank Erwin Center. The Frogs shot 24.1 percent in the second half and went 0-of-10 from 3-point range.
Desmond Bane finished with a team-high 13 points, all in the first half, and grabbed nine rebounds. Kevin Samuel had 11 points and 12 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
West Virginia is 19-7 overall and 7-6 in the Big 12 following a 65-47 win over Oklahoma State Tuesday. The Mountaineers are led in scoring and rebounding by freshman forward Oscar Tshiebwe’s 11.4 points and
9.4 rebounds. One of the best defensive teams in the country, WVU ranks second nationally in 3-point defense (27.7%), fifth in rebounding margin (+8.7), sixth in rebounding average (41.0) and eighth in field goal percentage defense (37.8%).

SERIES HISTORY
West Virginia leads the all-time series 14-2. TCU’s two wins in the series have come in the last two meetings in Fort Worth. The first was an 82-73 win over the No. 7-ranked Mountaineers on Jan. 22, 2018 and the last was 98-67 on Jan. 15, 2019. The first meeting of the season went to WVU, 81-49, on Jan. 14.
