FORT WORTH – TCU put up five runs in the seventh inning to break open a 1-1 contest en route to a 7-1 win over Kentucky on Saturday night. Gray Rodgers doubled twice, while Austin Henry and Hunter Wolfe each drove in two runs. Austin Krob picked up his first career win in relief.

The Rundown
Each team traded an unearned run in the first three innings of the contest. A two-out error followed by a base hit in the second gave Kentucky a 1-0 lead. Two errors in the third allowed Phillip Sikes to score the game-tying run.

TCU had chances with a runner in scoring position in the fifth and sixth, but the Frogs finally broke through in the seventh. Kurtis Byrne drew a lead-off walk. Gray Rodgers followed with an RBI-double to give the Frogs a 2-1 lead. With the bases loaded and one out, Austin Henry ripped a two-run single into left for a 4-1 advantage. Hunter Wolfe delivered a two-out, two-run double to cap the scoring in the frame.

A base hit by Porter Brown in the eighth inning drove in Rodgers to account for the final score.

Charles King was solid in his second debut. He allowed an unearned run on three hits and struck out two over six innings. Austin Krob (1-0) picked up the win in relief after surrendering just three hits in two innings to go along with one strikeout. Jacob Meador pitched around two base runners in the ninth.

6 – TCU score six combined runs in the seventh and eight innings. Five of the six runs came in the seventh inning.

• TCU improved to 5-for-5 in stolen bases with Hunter Wolfe's steal in the second inning.

Hunter Wolfe collected his 14th career multi-hit game and his eight career multi-RBI contest.
Gray Rodgers tallied his first career multi-hit game, tallying two doubles in the game.
Phillip Sikes notched his first career multi-hit game.
Porter Brown tallied his first career outfield assist.

Next Up:
With the victory, TCU improves to 2-0 on the season. The Horned Frogs will go for the series sweep Sunday afternoon. First pitch is set for 12:30 p.m. at Lupton Stadium.
