GoFrogs: TCU Comes Up Short At UT Arlington
ARLINGTON, Texas – TCU saw its three game winning streak snapped with a 6-4 loss at UT Arlington Tuesday night. Kurtis Byrne and Zach Wadas homered in the loss for the Horned Frogs.

The Rundown
UT Arlington turned a two-out walk into a 1-0 lead in the first inning. TCU tied the game at one on a lead-off home run from Zach Wadas in the third.

In the bottom of the third, the Mavericks struck for four runs to open up a 5-1 lead. Five of the first six batters reached in the frame and four came around to score.

TCU pulled within a run with three runs in the sixth. Chase Brunson led off the inning with a double and scored on a one-out single from Anthony Silva. Kurtis Byrne followed with a two run home run to make it a 5-4 ballgame.

The Mavericks got a run back in the bottom of the inning to make it 6-4. A lead-off walk scored on a two-out double.

TCU brought the tying run to the plate in each of the final three innings but couldn't push across another run.

Ben Hampton started for the Horned Frogs. He allowed a run on three hits, walked one and struck out one in two innings. Andrew Mosiello (0-1) took the loss after allowing four runs on four hits. Storm Hierholzer tossed 2 2/3 innings. He allowed a run on a hit, walked three and struck out two. Caedmon Parker recorded the final five outs. He surrendered a hit and struck out one.

The teams combined to use 14 pitchers in the game. UT Arlington rolled out eight pitchers while TCU utilized six pitchers.
