Tolle hasn't proven he can hit at TCU and Florida guy was a much better batter than pitcher. He's a good pitcher this year though. Last year they were so stacked at pitching he was their 3rd guy.

He's also batting over .400. Tolle is approaching the Mendoza line
There are a few guys in the lineup that are not doing very well at the plate. Should they sit or work through the slump? How many other 6’6” 250 lb guys are on the team that bat? The Jac Hammer was a weekend starter last year and they just called him the best starter of the weekend this season during LSU game.

This year Caglianone is definitely their ace and he's shown improvement with his weaknesses from last year. He wasn't even that bad with a 4.34 ERA

Tolle is just getting worse at hitting. We are in last place in the Big 12 going into April. We are running out of time to wait for him to get better at the plate.

Do we make the post season?

I think today’s game is extremely important for the Frogs. Need this game and a few series win/sweeps to get back to where we need to be to meet expectations.

Why do we insist on letting a starting pitcher bat?
Because that's the deal with the devil TCU made to get him on campus.

He would only sign with TCU if he could play both ways.

If not DH, where in the heck would you play him? He's big and kind of clumsy. About the only place you could put him on the field is at 1st base...but he's already shown he can't field his position when pitching.

IMHO, we should have recruited that relief pitcher from Wichita State that OSU snagged.

While I'm ranting, on Friday night, what in the heck was our hyperactive short stop thinking when he was doing windmills with his right arm while Tolle was throwing a pitch? Every other TCU player was standing ready in their positions primed to react to any hit ball.

Figured NIL was the case. That's the only logical reason KS keeps letting our ace pitcher go to plate, even though he's batting .200
