Frog Focus
  • TCU has held all 17 of its opponents under their season scoring average. Against No. 10 Texas, TCU pestered the Longhorns into a season-worst 41 percent shooting clip and season-low 22 field goals. The Longhorns' 72 points were 19 below their season average.
  • TCU is the only team in the country that ranks in the top-10 in 3-pointers (166), 3-pointers per game (9.8) and 3-point percentage differential (.122).
  • The Horned Frogs 166 triples are the third-most nationally and 15 shy of matching No. 19 Utah for the national lead.
  • TCU ranks fifth nationally in both 3-pointers per game and 3-point percentage differential.
  • The Horned Frogs are one of just three programs alongside No. 1 South Carolina and No. 4 Baylor ranking in the top-25 in both 3-point percentage offense and defense.
  • Texas became the eighth opponent TCU has surrendered four-or-fewer 3-pointers against thus far.
  • TCU has surrendered six-or-fewer 3-pointers in 13 of its 16 games.
  • TCU continues to lead the Big 12 in double-doubles with 19. The Horned Frogs have had multiple players produce a double-double in the same game on five occasions.
  • TCU is ninth nationally in blocks per game (6.3) and trails only No. 12 Kansas State for the Big 12 lead.
  • Sedona Prince was named to the Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 Watch List on Wednesday. She is the third player in program history to receive Wooden Award consideration alongside All-Americans Sandora Irvin (2004-05) and Helena Sverrisdottir (2010-11).
  • Prince averaged 21.2 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.3 blocks over 15 games before being sidelined with a hand injury following TCU's game at Baylor on Jan. 3. She is the only player in the country ranking in the top-20 nationally in scoring, rebounding, blocks and double-doubles (10) and lone D1 player averaging 20 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks per game.
  • Madison Conner continues to ranks second only to Caitlin Clark in 3-pointers (70) and 3-pointers per game (4.1). Conner has canned five-or-more deep balls seven times this season.
  • Conner is the Big 12's active scoring leader at 21.2 points per game. She has scored in double figures in all 17 of TCU's outings.
  • Conner is one of five players averaging at least 21 points, 5.5 rebounds and three assists per game, a group that includes Clark and fellow Wooden Award candidates Hannah Hidalgo (Notre Dame) and Juju Watkins (USC).
  • Jaden Owens has dished out the sixth-most assists of any D1 player over the last two seasons with 299. She is 79 assists away from reaching 500 for her career.
  • Owens is the Big 12's active leader in total assists (115) and assists per game (7.2). She ranks third and fifth, respectively, across the national ranks in both categories.
  • Agnes Emma-Nnopu leads TCU in offensive rebounds with 48 and ranks fifth in the country among guards under 6-0 in the category.
  • Emma-Nnopu is one of just five guards averaging at least 7.5 total rebounds and 2.8 offensive rebounds per game.
  • Aaliyah Roberson matched her career-high and led TCU in scoring with 15 points at Texas.
A Win over the Cougars Would…
  • Be TCU's 15th all-time win versus Houston.
  • Mark TCU's fifth all-time victory in Houston.
  • Extend TCU's winning streak against the Cougars to six.
  • Give the Horned Frogs their first Big 12 road victory since an 83-79 takedown of Oklahoma on March 4, 2021 in Norman.
  • Signify TCU's 36th all-time Big 12 road win.
  • Improve TCU's overall record as a Big 12 affiliate to 183-177.
  • Put the Horned Frogs within a victory of guaranteeing themselves a winning overall record for the first time in four seasons.
  • Double the program's overall wins tally from the past two seasons combined.
  • Represent TCU's 13th victory on Texas soil in 2023-24.

Lost Owens early in the game with a knee. If she's out for an extended period of time, they're gonna be in trouble.
I was watching on ESPN+ when it happened. I've coached girls long enough to know there's a good chance she tore a ligament. Really hope I'm wrong.

I don't know anything about these kinds of injuries, but that was the first thing that went through my mind when it happened. Still haven't found anything on what the nature of the injury is at this point.
