FORT WORTH – TCU will open its men's basketball season on Monday, Nov. 4 against Florida A&M as the entire nonconference slate was announced Friday.
Schollmaier Arena will host 17 games this season, including 10 in the Big 12 Conference.
In addition to its opener against the Rattlers, TCU will face Alcorn State, Florida Gulf Coast, Montana State, South Alabama, Texas State and Xavier at home. The game against Xavier is part of the Big 12/Big EAST Battle and was moved to Dec. 5 from the originally announced date of Dec. 6.
TCU's Big 12 opponents were announced earlier this summer with home games against Baylor, BYU, UCF, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Utah and West Virginia. A complete Big 12 schedule as well as times and television networks will be announced at a later date.
TCU tied its best finish and most wins ever in the Big 12 last season with a fifth-place finish and 9-9 conference record. Jamie Dixon returns for his ninth season as the head coach of the Horned Frogs, who are led by returning starter Ernest Udeh Jr. Last season, TCU made the NCAA Tournament for the third-straight season for the first time in program history.
Season ticket renewals are happening now through the TCU Ticket Office. Tickets are now on sale for TCU's Dec. 8 game vs. Vanderbilt at Dickies Arena through the Dickies Arena Box Office.
