Rifle Finishes Sixth At NCAA Championships​

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The TCU women's rifle team concluded action at the 2025 NCAA Rifle Championships on Saturday in Lexington, Ky. TCU fired a 2,377 in air rifle and ultimately finished sixth among the eight participants at the event. Katie Zaun qualified for her second final of the weekend and finished sixth individually.

TCU's smallbore score of 2,335 was fourth while its 2,377 in air rifle was sixth. Katie Zaun's aggregate score of 1,188 was fifth among all competitors.

Once again, TCU sent its three All-Americans to the line in the first relay. Zaun's 599 topped all shooters in the opening relay. Mikole Hogan fired a 594 and Christina Hillinger a 589.

In the second relay, Rylie Passmore contributed a 594 and Micah Hames a 590.

Zaun finished sixth in the individual finals after shooting a 164.9.

West Virginia shot a 4,738 to win the National Championship, topping Kentucky (4,737) by just one shot. Alaska Fairbanks took third with a 4,726 followed by Ole Miss (4,716) and Georgia Southern (4,713). Air Force (4,703) finished seventh and Murray State (4,693) eighth.
