GoFrogs: No. 2 TCU Falls to No. 8 Texas, 5-0

AUSTIN, Texas - No. 2 TCU fell to No. 8 Texas, 5-0 at the Texas Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.

After losing the doubles point, TCU (15-2, 1-1) went on to fall on four single courts.

"Tough one today" said head coach David Roditi. Texas was too good, they handled everything much better than we did today. Proud of our guys, they been through it on the road and have been battling one day after another. Today, Texas was just too good, credit to them. We are going to get back home and then back on the road again and keep going. Go Frogs!"

Doubles Rundown
The Frogs' Pedro Vives and Thomas Jirousek fell to Micah Braswell and Cleeve Harper.

The No. 51 duo of Duncan Chan and Lui Maxted suffered just their fourth loss in dual season when they were downed by Texas' Pierre-Yves Bailly and Eshan Talluri, 6-3, as the Longhorns took the doubles point.

Jake Fearnley made a return to the doubles lineup for the first time since March 2. Fearnley and doubles partner Jack Pinnington battled with the No. 53 tandem of Eliot Spizzirri and Siem Woldeab of Texas. TCU trailed 5-6 before the match was clinched.

On court four, No. 72 Lui Maxted suffered just his second lost in 2024, falling to Pierre-Yvas Bailly, 6-2, 6-3.

Seb Gorzny out with injury. Didn’t play at Baylor either. Jake Fearnley has been serving underhanded so injury threre as well. Have OU and Ok St this week on the road. If still not healthy, may lose those as well.
