That should be a double play.
Kick save. That was a real toe tap
The double play has to be the fly out to first, then getting the runner at third for not tagging up. The tag at first wasn’t necessary after the fly out.Well that’s something you don’t see everyday. I never saw the field umps make a call live as to safe/out for the ball in play. So I don’t know what the runners are supposed to do there if the umps don’t make any signal
There was a runner on first that got doubled up. The throw to third was unnecessary. The double play has to be the fly out to first, then getting the runner at third for not tagging up. The tag at first wasn’t necessary after the fly out.
The tag at first forced out the base runner. The throw to third was useless. The double play has to be the fly out to first, then getting the runner at third for not tagging up. The tag at first wasn’t necessary after the fly out.
Forgot there was a runner at first. There was a runner on first that got doubled up. The throw to third was unnecessary.
Technically the 2nd out was from tagging 1B and doubling up that runner. (1-3 unassisted double play in the books) and then the throw to 3B and Colton snipering himself at the bag was for funsies. The double play has to be the fly out to first, then getting the runner at third for not tagging up. If it's 1-3 DP it isn't unassisted. The pitch gets an assist.Technically the 2nd out was from tagging 1B and doubling up that runner. (1-3 unassisted double play in the books) and then the throw to 3B and Colton snipering himself at the bag was for funsies.
my Q was around the field ump not making any motion live as to the call of the ball in play being safe or out at the pitcher. They will usually make a point to the ground motion (or sometimes a safe call) if they see it hit the ground. Or should clearly make an out call once Cramer caught it at first. They did neither that I saw from the broadcast.
