FORT WORTH – Mike Miles Jr. was named to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association's Oscar Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List on Thursday.
Miles, ranks second in the Big 12 with 19.1 points per game and is also averaging 2.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists. He is the only in a Power 5 conference that is averaging at least 19 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
Miles is coming off his sixth 20-point outing of the season with 21 points at West Virginia. Earlier in January, the Highland Hills, Texas native scored a career-high 33 points to lead TCU past No. 19 Baylor. Miles is scoring a lot of points at an efficient clip of 53.0 percent shooting, which ranks third in the conference.
Named the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year in October, Miles has also been named to the watch lists for the Bob Cousy Award, NABC NCAA D1 Player of the Year, Naismith Trophy and Wooden Award.
