FORT WORTH - TCU's women's volleyball team won its third-straight match Friday, a 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-15) triumph over SMU in front of 1,217 fans inside the TCU University Rec Center.

The win was the 200th for Prentice Lewis as the head coach of the Horned Frogs. Now in her 11th year at the helm, Lewis' career record stands at 200-131. TCU improved to 3-1 with the win, while the Mustangs dropped to 1-3.

TCU controlled the match from the opening serve, racing out to a 7-2 advantage before SMU called its first timeout. Junior Yvonne Igodan tallied kills on three of the match's first four points. An Igodan and Sloane Sunstrum block forced the Mustang timeout.

SMU was able to get as close as 20-17, but TCU scored five of the final six points to take a 25-18 set one win. Igodan notched three more kills down the stretch for seven in the set.

The Mustangs scored the first three points of set two and led 7-3 when TCU called a timeout. The Frogs chipped away at the lead and a 3-0 run at 14-all led to a Mustang timeout after a Mattie Burleson kill put TCU ahead 17-14.

TCU fell behind at 21-19, but three-straight kills (two from Igodan, one from Pickens) allowed the Frogs to close out a 25-23 set three win and 2-0 advantage on the scoreboard.

The final set turned into a coronation for Lewis' 200th win as TCU steamrolled their crosstown rival, 25-15. Burleson had five kills and no errors on seven attempts, while Igodan added four more in the third for 16 in the match.

Igodan, who is second in the Big 12 in attack percentage, was TCU's leading hitter with a .462 attack percentage. Burleson and Megan Munce had seven kills apiece, as did freshman Macy Capen, who got her first-career start. Munce added four aces.

TCU had its third-straight match above a .300 attack percentage and tallied 46 digs to SMU's 36. Sunstrum (12) and Meghan Horio (11) led TCU defensively.

The Horned Frogs return to action Saturday at 12:30 p.m., against Texas A&M Corpus Christi. All matches are part of the TCU Nike Invitational, which features TCU, SMU, Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Army.
