The five interceptions were a Cheez-It Bowl record and tied for the most in a game in the 18 seasons with <a href="https://gofrogs.com/coaches.aspx?rc=64" target="_blank">Gary Patterson</a> as head coach. It was the first time TCU had five different players with an interception in a game under Patterson.</p><p></p><p>Johnson finished the season fourth on TCU with 71 tackles. He started the final seven games of the season and totaled 58 stops in those contests.</p><p></p><p>The Horned Frogs have won 10 of their last 13 bowl games and are 11-6 in bowls with Patterson as head coach and 13-6 with him on the coaching staff. Before Patterson's arrival on campus in 1998, TCU had just four bowl wins in its history.</p><p></p><p>TCU (7-6) secured its 15th winning season in Patterson's 18 years as head coach and will enter the 2019 campaign with the longest active winning streak (three) in the Big 12.
