GLENCOE, Ill. - TCU senior Tom Hoge posted a three-round score of 207 en route to tying sharing the individual stroke player crown with Taiwan standout Cheng-Tsung Pan at the Western Amateur, which is being played at Skokie Country Club in Glencoe, Ill.

After posting an even-par score of 71 in the first round of action, Hoge made his way up the leaderboard to head into the final round tied for the lead following a 5-under-par score of 66 in the second round. A birdie on the 18th hole gave the Fargo, N.D., talent a 1-under-par score of 70 in the final round and a share of the individual crown.

Following 54 holes of competition, the top 16 players will now advance to Match Play at the Western Amateur, which is set to begin on Friday morning. In addition to Hoge, recent graduate Travis Woolf also advanced to Match Play after finishing seventh overall in the stroke-portion of competition following a 3-under-par score of 210 (69-69-72).

TCU junior Johan de Beer barely missed out on earning a spot in the top-16 as the Pretoria, South Africa, native was part of a six-man playoff for the final two spots following a 1-over-par score of 214 (71-72-71).

All three Horned Frogs have also qualified for the U.S. Amateur Championship, which will be played at Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash., on Aug. 23-29.
