FORT WORTH—TCU continues a stretch of four games in eight days Monday when it plays host to the USC Trojans in a 7 p.m. tip-off at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The matchup marks TCU's fourth and final contest in conjunction with the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic.

The Frogs enter the contest with a 4-2 record following a 79-63 victory over Houston on Saturday in Fort Worth. In addition to the Cougars and Trojans, TCU also will face Prairie View A&M and Northern Iowa at home in an eight-day span stretching from Nov. 27 through Dec. 4. The squad will be looking to move to 4-0 this season in games played at the DMC.

USC arrives in Fort Worth with a 4-3 overall record following Saturday's 60-58 road setback to future TCU opponent Nebraska. The Frogs and Trojans will be meeting for the first time ever on the hardwood.

Following Monday's game, TCU takes on in-state foe Prairie View A&M at home on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

TCU's matchup with USC will be broadcast live on the radio throughout the Metroplex on both 1460 AM KCLE and 88.7 FM KTCU with Brian Estridge and John Denton serving as the play-by-play team. Estridge kicks off his 12th straight season as the Voice of the Horned Frogs, while Denton begins his 21st year as color commentator.

The game is the second of at least 20 TCU contests that will be televised this season. Coverage will be provided by The MountainWest Sports Network (The Mtn.; DirecTV ch. 616), which will feature the TCU broadcast crew of Chuck LaMendola (play-by-play) and Dave Bollwinkel (analyst). Live stats and a link to an Internet radio feed will be available via TCU's official athletics website, GoFrogs.com.


FROG QUICK NOTES
- Ronnie Moss has scored in double figures in nine straight games dating back to last season.

- Garlon Green, who is shooting 58.7% from the field, has shot above 55.0% in five of six games.

- Green leads the MWC in 3-point shooting at 63.6% (7-of-11).

- J.R. Cadot is leading TCU in rebounds (6.5 rpg) by nearly three full boards per game despite averaging only 20.2 minutes, which is tied for the No. 5 total on the squad.

- Cadot has led TCU in boards in each of the last three games and is tied for seventh in the MWC in the category.

- As of Sunday, Hank Thorns was the only player in the MWC this season with a double-figure assist outing. He has totaled 10 helpers three times in TCU's five games.

- As of Sunday, TCU ranked among the leaders in the Mountain West Conference in turnover margin (No. 2), fewest turnovers (No. 2), assist/turnover ratio (No. 3) and 3-pointers made (No. 3).

- Of the 14 players who have seen action this season, nine had never previously seen game action for the Frogs.

- TCU returns six players who accounted for 47.3% of scoring, 41.8% of rebounds, 57.4% of assists and 39.6% of steals last season.

- Only six Frog letterwinners return from last season's squad, which is tied for the fewest total in the Mountain West Conference team with New Mexico and Utah.


SCOUTING THE USC TROJANS
USC, led by second-year head coach Kevin O'Neill, is 4-3 this season after notching a 16-14 overall record in 2009-10. Last season's squad tied for fifth place in the Pac-10 Conference standings with an 8-10 mark in league play.

Six letterwinners, including two starters, return from last season's Trojan squad. Forward Nikola Vucevic averages a double-double while leading the team in scoring (16.0 ppg), rebounding (11.0 rpg) and blocked shots (1.0 bpg). Guards Maurice Jones (13.3 ppg) and Bryce Jones (12.7 ppg) also average double figures in scoring, while Maurice Jones paces the squad in assists (4.0 apg).

USC and TCU share two common opponents to date this season, both from the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic. The Trojans (77-57 at home) and Frogs (76-61 at Springfield, Mass.) both dropped decisions to Ryder, while TCU defeated Bradley (74-68 in Springfield), which downed USC by a 64-63 count in Springfield.


ABOUT THE HALL OF FAME TIP-OFF
TCU's matchup against USC will mark its fourth and final game in conjunction with the 27th annual Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic. The Frogs previously played three games against Rider (L, 61-76), Bradley (W, 74-68) and UMass (L, 48-67) Nov. 20-22 in Springfield, Mass.

Other teams competing in the tournament in addition to TCU's opponents include: Loyola Marymount, New Mexico State, LeMoyne, Lyndon State and American International College. TCU was the only team to play three games in consecutive days in Springfield, Mass.

In addition the tournament's games, a banquet was held Nov. 19 at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, which gave the Frogs an opportunity to tour the historic facility.


MILESTONE WATCH
- Ronnie Moss needs 124 points to reach the 1,000- point milestone.

- Moss also is only 12 rebounds shy of 200 and 27 assists short of becoming only the 10th Frog ever with 300 helpers in a career.


TCU TAMES COUGARS AT DMC
Three Frogs scored in double figures, and TCU earned its first victory over Houston since 2005 during a 79-63 home victory over the Cougars Saturday.

The Frogs snapped a two-game skid against the Cougars in grand style, recording their second-largest margin of victory ever against UH. TCU led by five points at intermission before putting the game out of reach early in the second half. The Frogs led by as many as 22 points late in the contest.

Ronnie Moss scored a game-high 17 points to lead TCU. Garlon Green had a very efficient day from the field, making 7-of-11 field-goal attempts, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, while scoring 16 points. J.R. Cadot, making his third consecutive start, fell just shy of a double-double with 11 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Cadot had eight boards in the first half on his way to setting a career high on the glass.

TCU jumped on top of the Cougars from the game's outset, building an eight-point advantage in the opening five minutes. The Frogs made five of their first six shots from the field, including a pair of baskets each by Green and junior guard Hank Thorns.

TCU put the game away in the second half with a 12-2 run that pushed the lead to 16 points with just over 10 minutes remaining.


SEEING GREEN
Garlon Green has put together a fast start to his sophomore season, ranking second on the squad in scoring (10.7 ppg) while shooting a blistering 58.7% from the field.

- Green ranks No. 8 in the MWC in overall field-goal percentage and No. 1 in 3-point shooting (63.6%).

- Green has shot at least 55.0% in five of TCU's opening six games.

- Green has been at his best in TCU's wins, shooting 63.6%, including 71.4% (5-of-7) from 3-point range.

Wish I could go to this game, will have to settle for watching on the Mtn. Hope there's a decent crowd.

Students on the board, get the word spread to show up. This is a good, athletic team that is getting better and fun to watch.

USC is not a good team. If we lose to them I would be very concerned. USC is the Washington State of college basketball, they are probably the worst major conference team in the country. I expect an easy win and anything less would be cause for concern
