LAS VEGAS, Nev. – A late scoring drought erased a 15-point TCU lead as Clemson defeated the Horned Frogs, 62-60, in overtime Sunday night in the semifinals of the MGM Resorts Main Event at T-Mobile Arena.

The Frogs (4-1) led 52-37 after an RJ Nembhard layup with 7:39 remaining in regulation. However, the Tigers (5-1) forced the Frogs scoreless and forced eight turnovers the remainder of regulation to force overtime. Clemson ended the period on a 15-0 run.

The overtime period featured six lead changes, but Clemson's defense stepped up over the final 2:40 of overtime as it held TCU scoreless and forced two turnovers to seal the victory for the Tigers.

Senior Edric Dennis scored a team-high 18 points on 5-of-12 shooting from 3-point range. Senior Desmond Bane had 17 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Sophomore Kevin Samuel also had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

TCU will play its second and final game of the MGM Resorts Main Event against Wyoming on Tuesday. Tip is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT, and the game will be shown on ESPN3.

- TCU and Clemson met for the first time since Nov. 15, 2008 in the second round of the Charleston Classic.
- The Horned Frogs fell to 4-1 this season and 23-2 in November in the Jamie Dixon era.
- TCU dropped to 0-3 all-time against Clemson.
- TCU fell to 47-67 all-time and 3-6 in the Jamie Dixon era in overtime games.
- The Horned Frogs recorded its first loss when playing in a mid-season tournament under Jamie Dixon, falling to 7-1.
- Both Desmond Bane and Kevin Samuel recorded double-doubles, marking the first time since Feb. 23, 2019 against Iowa State that multiple TCU players recorded double-doubles.
- After being outrebounded by 16 in its previous game against UC Irvine, TCU responded by outrebounding Clemson 40-29. TCU dropped to 2-1 on the season and 61-19 under Dixon when outrebounding its opponent.
- TCU had 13 steals in the contest and recorded double-digit steals for the fourth time in five games. The Frogs are 19-4 under Dixon when having 10+ steals.
- The 13 steals were the most in a game for TCU since recording 17 steals at West Virginia on Feb. 26, 2019. Additionally, eight of the nine players that saw action for TCU recorded a steal.

Individual Notes
- Edric Dennis scored a team-high 18 points which included 5-of-12 shooting from 3-point range.
- Dennis became the first Horned Frog to lead the team in scoring coming off the bench since Kendric Davis scored 22 points in TCU's win at No. 17 Iowa State on Feb. 9, 2019.
- Desmond Bane scored 17 points, giving him 1,339 points in his career. He passed Mike Jones (1997-98) to move to 12th place on TCU's all-time scoring leaderboard.
- Bane also tied for the team lead with 10 rebounds, giving him a double-double for the second straight game and third time of his career.
- Bane led the team with six assists and tied a season-high with three steals. He became the first TCU player in the Jamie Dixon era to total at least 17 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals in a game.
- Kevin Samuel scored 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting, hauled in 10 rebounds and recorded a career-high three steals.
- Samuel has now recorded double-doubles in four of his first five games to start the season.
- In his return to the city of his high school (Findlay Prep. in Las Vegas, Nev.), PJ Fuller chipped in six points, three rebounds, two steals, and a block off the bench.
- Francisco Farabello recorded his first collegiate block in the first half.
