WACO, Texas – TCU's Big 12 road winning streak came to an end as the No. 2/1-ranked Baylor Lady Bears downed the Horned Frogs, 81-62, Wednesday night at the Ferrell Center.

TCU dropped to 17-5 overall and 8-3 in conference play, while Baylor pushed its record to 22-1 overall and 11-0 in the conference standings.

THE RUNDOWN
TCU trailed by as many as seven points late in the first half, but the Horned Frogs closed out the second quarter with a 6-2 run and trailed by just two points, 36-34, at the break.

Baylor used a 10-2 run to open the third quarter and went on to outscore the Frogs 22-11 in the frame. The home squad then outscored TCU 12-2 in the opening moments of the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.

TCU managed to get double-digit scoring efforts from Michelle Berry (15), Lauren Heard (14) and Jayde Woods (11), but Baylor's NaLyssa Smith (12 points, 12 rebounds) and Lauren Cox (16 points, 10 rebounds) recorded double-doubles to help lead the Lady Bears to victory.

Berry tied a season-high with her 15-point effort and Heard poured in 10 points or more for a 19th straight game.

UP NEXT
TCU returns home this Sunday, Feb. 16, to host the Iowa State Cyclones in an early afternoon contest. Tip-off between the Horned Frogs and Cyclones is set for 12 p.m. at Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena.
