GoFrogs: Frog Army Scrimmage Set for Nov. 2
FORT WORTH, Texas – Slam dunks, 3-pointers and half-court shots, TCU men's basketball's Frog Army Scrimmage will return to Schollmaier Arena on Friday, Nov. 2 at 5 p.m.
The doors open at 4 p.m. and the event, which began last season, is free for anyone to attend.
The team will scrimmage against each other in a purple vs. white format and will hold 3-point and slam dunk contests.
Just like last season, three students will have a chance to win $1,000 from the check book of Coach Dixon. After having their name drawn, the lucky students will get to select someone on the court to shoot a half-court shot and to win $1,000. Last season, Austin Sottile won Jack Spooner $1,000 by sinking a shot from half court.
After the basketball festivities, the students will be invited to come on to the floor and eat free tacos with the team.
The No. 20 Horned Frogs open the season against CSU Bakersfield on Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. Season tickets are sold out for the season, but non-conference single-game tickets go on sale Nov. 3.
