TCU Match Overturned

STILLWATER, Okla. – Following the first-round conference match against Kansas State in the Big 12 Championships on Wednesday afternoon at Michael & Anne Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla., Kansas State submitted a protest of TCU's lineup. The Championship's Games Committee has ruled to uphold Kansas State's protest and overturn the match result. With this decision, the doubles point will be awarded to Kansas State resulting in a 4-3 win for Kansas State.

The committee's decision was determined based on overwhelming evidence that TCU's doubles lineup was in clear violation of ITA Rule I.D.3 – Players must play in order of ability once a direct line substitution was made prior to the match. Once the substitution was made at #2 doubles, per ITA Rule I.D.7 doubles pairs "must be reordered to reflect strength".

Per ITA rule I.D.10, no appeals to this decision are permitted.
