GoFrogs: Bruner 2nd, TCU 4th at Bruzzy Challenge
CARROLLTON, Texas -- TCU sophomore Greta Bruner was second individually to lead the Horned Frogs to a fourth-place finish after Tuesday's final round of the Bruzzy Challenge.
Horned Frog of the Day
Bruner posted the best finish of her TCU career. It was her third straight top-15 result and the third consecutive tournament in which she was the Horned Frogs' top finisher. Her second-place finish was the best by a Horned Frog since Emmy Martin was the runner-up at last year's Greenville Regional Preview.
A sophomore from Conroe, Texas, Bruner was just four strokes behind medalist Maddie Szeryk of Texas A&M.
Bruner had two birdies and shot par on 14 holes in recording a final-round 73 to finish at 4-over-par 220.

"Finishing second at this event is what my family and I consider to be one of my biggest accomplishments," Bruner said. "The conditions were tough and the golf course was one of the most difficult I think I've played. It was a true test of golf.
"I'm so proud of my team for battling this week. There is so much to be thankful for in the TCU women's golf program, and I'm so lucky to be a Horned Frog."
The Team
TCU had the second-lowest team score for both the second and third rounds. The Horned Frogs finished only eight strokes behind winner Texas A&M.
Other Horned Frogs Emmy Martin tied for 20th for her 15th career top-20 result. She had a team-best three birdies en route to a final-round 75.
Brooke McDougald had a season-best finish in tying for 24th. She had a birdie Tuesday.
Annika Clark had two birdies. She and Grace Do recorded identical scores in all three rounds.
