GoFrogs: Beach Volleyball hits 50 straight wins at home

FORT WORTH – No. 5 TCU notched its 50th and 51st-straight wins at home on the first day of the TCU Invitational on Friday. The Frogs went 2-0 on the day, downing the Huskies (5-0) and No. 11 Hawaii (3-2).

Individually, six Horned Frogs had a perfect 2-0 day: Hailey Hamlett, Anhelina Khmil, Sutton MacTavish, Tara Patton, Ana Vergara and Morgan Williams.

QUICK HITS AGAINST HCU
Keagan Polk and Olivia Clines scored the first point from the No. 5 spot: 21-13, 21-14.
Tara Patton and Morgan Williams locked in point two from the No. 4 spot: 21-12, 24-22.
Anhelina Khmil and Ana Vergara clinched the match for the Frogs from the No. 2 position: 21-10, 21-19.
• From the No. 1 spot, Hailey Hamlett and Sutton MacTavish scored the fourth point for TCU in a straight-set victory: 21-10, 21-12.
• The duo of Luana Araco and Anete Namike locked in the sweep from the No. 3 spot: 21-17, 21-16.
• This is TCU's seventh sweep of the season and its second against HCU.
• The Horned Frogs remain unbeaten against the Huskies in all-time history, now holding a 14-0 lead.
• TCU also stayed perfect against schools in the Lone Star State, improving its record to 38-0 against schools in Texas.


QUICK HITS AGAINST NO. 11 HAWAII
Luana Araco and Anete Namike fell to Hawaii's Wagoner/Amiatu from the No. 4 spot: 21-15, 17-21, 12-15.
• The duo now stands at 2-1 on the season together.
• In a close three-set contest from the No. 5 spot, Keagan Polk and Olivia Clines finished second against the Bows' Maidment/Miller: 23-21, 20-22, 15-13.
• Together, the two stand at 2-3 on the season.
Tara Patton and Morgan Williams garnered the first point for the Horned Frogs in a straight-set victory from the No. 3 position: 21-18, 21-18.
• The two improved their season record to 4-1 together.
• This is Patton's fourth ranked win this season and Williams' fifth. The win over the 'Bows marked the duo's third ranked win together.
• From the No. 1 spot, Hailey Hamlett and Sutton MacTavish tied the match with a straight-set victory: 21-14, 21-19.

• Hamlett garnered her tenth ranked win this season and MacTavish her eighth.
Anhelina Khmil and Ana Vergara clinched the match for TCU at the No. 2 spot: 21-14, 24-22.
• The duo improved their record together this season to 3-1.
• Khmil garnered her ninth ranked win this season and Vergara her sixth.
• The Horned Frogs boosted their season record to 21-5 and stand at 8-5 against ranked opponents.
• TCU improved its all-time record against Hawaii to 3-5.
