Back-to-back hits by the Vaqueros opened the game and a Conrado Diaz sacrifice fly put UTRGV up 1-0. <a href="https://gofrogs.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5687" target="_blank">Dawson Barr</a> minimized the damage with back-to-back strikeouts with a runner on third to end the inning.</p><p> </p><p>The Frogs responded quickly with three runs in the bottom of the frame. <a href="https://gofrogs.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5520" target="_blank">Josh Watson</a> doubled and <a href="https://gofrogs.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5688" target="_blank">Alex Isola</a> was hit by the pitch ahead of <a href="https://gofrogs.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5684" target="_blank">Jake Guenther</a>, who's third home run of the season down the right field line gave the Frogs a 3-1 lead.</p><p> </p><p>A lead-off hit batter in the second allowed the Vaqueros to pull back within one, 3-2, as Tyler Torres scored on a two-out double from Jacob Hirsh.</p><p> </p><p>TCU broke the game open in the fifth with a pair of two out runs. Isola poked a two-run single into right center to bring home <a href="https://gofrogs.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5513" target="_blank">Zach Humphreys</a> and Watson for a 5-2 lead. The Frogs tacked on an insurance run in the seventh on a Humphreys RBI-double.</p><p> </p><p>Barr started for the Frogs and allowed two runs on three hits.
