GoFrogs: TCU Earns Sixth Straight Win
ARLINGTON, Texas – No. 11 TCU pushed its winning streak to six straight games with a 5-3 victory at UT Arlington on Tuesday night. Phillip Sikes and Porter Brown each drove in two runs to lead the offense.

The Rundown
The Horned Frogs opened the scoring in the third with a pair of runs. Tommy Sacco walked and Gray Rodgers singled with one out. A wild pitch had both runners in scoring with two outs for Phillip Sikes, who delivered a base hit to left for a 2-0 lead.

TCU added a run in the fourth. Zach Humphreys led off the inning with a base hit and scored on a Porter Brown ground out to make it a 3-0 ballgame.

UTA crept back into the game with a run in the fourth and the fifth to make it a 3-2 contest. Marcelo Perez minimized the damage with back-to-back strikeouts with the tying run on third and one out in the fifth.

The Frogs added two big insurance runs in the eighth. Humphreys tripled with to lead off the inning and scored on a Hunter Wolfe triple for a 4-2 advantage. Brown grounded out to drive in Wolfe for a 5-2 advantage. UTA took advantage of a triple of its own to score its third and final run of the game.

Riley Cornelio started and with an inning for the Frogs. Charles King (2-1) picked up the win in relief after going three innings. He allowed a run on two hits, walked one and struck out two. Marcelo Perez, John Kodros and Dalton Brown all saw time in the game. Haylen Green recorded the final five outs of the contest for his fifth save.

With the win, TCU improves to 17-7 on the season. TCU remains on the road as it heads up I-35 to take on Oklahoma for three games. Friday's series opener is set for 6 p.m. The game will be televised on FSSW.
