GoFrogs: TCU Drops Game 2 at Texas
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas evened the series with a 7-0 win over TCU Saturday afternoon at UFCU-Disch Falk Field. The teams waited out a nearly hour long rain delay in the fifth inning. Chase Brunson and Luke Boyers accounted for four of the team's five hits.

The Rundown
Texas put up five runs in the second and never looked back. A lead-off double set the tone for the frame as the Longhorns sent nine hitters to the plate. The big blow was a two-out, bases-loaded single off the bat of Jalen Flores.

Two more runs crossed the plate for Texas in the third on a two-out double as the TCU deficit grew to 7-0.

The bullpen slammed the door the remainder of the game. Caedmon Parker retired all four batters he faced. Andrew Mosiello worked around a trio of walks and fanned two in his 2 2/3 innings. Storm Hierholzer retired the only batter he faced and Braeden Sloan fanned two around a hit in the eighth.

Offensively, TCU had a base runner in seven of nine innings, but could never string anything together. The Frogs best look at getting on the board came in the sixth after a Chase Brunson lead-off single. Karson Bowen hit a towering fly ball that was somehow caught by the left fielder at the base of the wall. The catch turned into a rally-killing double play.

Louis Rodriguez (3-2) took the loss after allowing five runs on four hits. He walked two and struck out one in 1 2/3 innings.
