How the hell can there be a disagreement on something as basic as the run rule? Either you agreed to it, or you didn’t. Unless it’s a situation where the ump never asked prior to the game.
My guess is they didn’t talk to the crew chief - either ACU just assumed or it looked like their coach was pointing at the guy that was behind the plate as if he had talked to him but he wasn’t the crew chief - however ACU was in a pickle because the group of guys he sent to pinch hit in the B7 was a random mix of positions

Almost would have been worth it to see how he got 8 guys positioned for Defense honestly - like little league, just go play wherever someone isn’t already playing please

NCAA 2-79 Ten-Run Rule

Ten-Run Rule

SECTION 79. By conference rule, or mutual consent of both coaches before the contest, a game may be stopped only after seven innings if one team is ahead by at least 10 runs.

Each team must play an equal number of innings unless shortened because the home team needs none or only part of its half of the final inning.

Cliff Notes on the disagreement for those of us who didn’t see it?

Who was upset?
Both coaches came out to shake hands after the 7th. Umps came in and a discussion ensued. The ACU skipper got really heated a couple of times w the crew chief. Then everybody walked away after about 5 minutes and the coaches finished their post game handshakes.

Thanks. Both coaches were glad the game was supposedly over and the umps wanted to keep playing? They get paid by the hour?
