GoFrogs: Baker Wins 100m at AP Ranch High Performance Invite
FORT WORTH — Ronnie Baker placed first at the AP Ranch High Performance Invite in the 100m.
The standout TCU alumnus clocked a 10 flat in the 100m, edging Olympian and 2017 100m World Champion Justin Gatlin by .07 seconds.
Baker also ran a 22.67 in the 200m and set a personal-best for the outdoor season in the 60m, running a 6.65 en route to third place. His indoor personal-best time in the 60m is 6.40, slotting him as the third-fastest man in the history of the event.
In 2018, Baker recorded a 9.93 in the 100m at the Rome (Italy) Diamond League meet which registered as the fastest wind-legal time in the world since August 2017. It was the second time he beat 2016 Olympian Christian Coleman in the span of a week.
During his time in Fort Worth, Baker was a two-time national champion in the 60m and a 12-time All-American.
