Jeremy Kerley spent a couple of days in New York City last month doing a photo shoot for ESPN The Magazine. Kerley and five other mid-round NFL draft prospects, including LSU running back Stevan Ridley and Oregon linebacker Casey Matthews, took turns looking chic in the trendiest leather jackets and hipster garb on the streets and in the pizza joints of Brooklyn.

The piece, which the magazine has done the past four years is called King For a Day, and the star treatment fits like a glove on Kerley, after a sterling career at TCU in which he led the Horned Frogs in receptions and was named the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Year the past two seasons for his kick returns. Kerley, along with potential first-round pick Andy Dalton, has been King of TCU for the past four years.

"It was definitely cool," Kerley said. "Any time you get to go to New York just to have fun is great. We had a good time. I met some nice people." ...
