FWST: TCU's Cannon feels blessed after being picked by Patriots

Marcus Cannon has been through an emotional roller coaster the past few weeks, but you'd never know it from his demeanor.
The former TCU offensive tackle, who had been projected as a second-round pick in the NFL Draft, was selected by the New England Patriots as the 138th overall pick in the fifth round Saturday. For Cannon, who began chemotherapy Thursday for non-Hodgkins lymphoma, it was a blessing.
"God's favor is all around us and we always had faith that this would happen," Cannon said. "We're just very ecstatic right now." ...
