FWST: TCU banning backpacks, bags at games, will require clear plastic bags
TCU is turning to NFL-style security measures at athletic events, beginning with Friday’s football game against Baylor and volleyball match against West Virginia.
Fans will not be allowed to bring in backpacks, diaper bags or other large bags, the school announced Monday. It said an exception would be made for “medically necessary” items after they are inspected.
Fans will be allowed to bring in clear pastic, vinyl or PVC bags no bigger than 14x14 inches, a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag, an unopened bottle of water and hand-sized clutch bags “with or without a strap or handle” that “can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags.” ...
