FWST: Ninth-inning homer sends Dallas Baptist by TCU

DALLAS -- Dallas Baptist right-fielder Jason Krizan's two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth ruined TCU reliever Kyle Starratt's valiant effort out of the bullpen and won the game for the Patriots 9-7 Monday at Patriot Field.

Krizan also doubled twice and drove in three runs to help DBU (26-13) end the Frogs' seven-game winning streak.

Starratt, who replaced starter Nick Frey with two outs in the second after the Patriots had jumped out to a 5-1 lead, pitched the final 62/3 innings. He held DBU to four hits and two runs until Krizan's homer on an 0-1 fastball up in the zone deflected off the scoreboard beyond the right-field wall. ...
