TCU launches national search to replace athletic director of Big 12 program
As Jeremiah Donati heads to South Carolina, TCU has enlisted a national search firm and announced an interim athletic director.

The last national search ended with a guy from Dallas who lost to Houston / UCF with a bunch of 4 stars on the roster![]()

Do you mean the guy who inherited a 5-7 team and went 13-2?The last national search ended with a guy from Dallas who lost to Houston / UCF with a bunch of 4 stars on the roster
UCF might fire their coach
Speaking of Donati’s quote about adapting, I think we should be looking for a GM (LT or Dalton?) and then look for an AD that person wants to work with.
and then brought in two of our best recruiting classes ever.Do you mean the guy who inherited a 5-7 team and went 13-2?
And ended up in the New Mexico bowl and missing a bowl game entirelyand then brought in two of our best recruiting classes ever.

The best athletic directors TCU has ever had were outside hires for sure. That is the direction we need to go right now. With that being said, getting a current athletic director at a smaller school can be just as or more effective as an associate athletic director at a large school. In fact, CDC who is gold standard for an athletic director came from Rice. Eric Hyman was in many ways a good athletic director came from Miami of Ohio.I’m encouraged by the fact that they are looking outside of the current admin. Assume we’ll likely target an associate AD at a bigger school who has a good track record of fundraising and forming/maintaining relationships with donors/boosters/fans.

I can't tell if there's a joke in here. You know Malzahn is already gone, right? The last national search ended with a guy from Dallas who lost to Houston / UCF with a bunch of 4 stars on the roster

I suspect we could but we might end up in a situation where it might not end well. Texas A&M hired an athletic director a time or two from power programs and it did not end very well. Trust me, very few schools waste more money firing coaches that were questionable hires than them.think we can get an AD for another big/power program?
And they've already hired Scott Frost to replace him.I can't tell if there's a joke in here. You know Malzahn is already gone, right?
Where has Frost been? And they've already hired Scott Frost to replace him.
So I had sorta the same thought. Go hire Yormark. That dude is gunslinger.Or maybe go totally outside the box…

Yormark would be a good one.Where has Frost been?
He was good at recruiting developing talent in Florida. Wonder if he will have a good run there again.
