It's been something of a bittersweet two weeks for TCU football. It was just two weeks ago that it might have finally sunk in for many fans of the Horned Frogs that the highly successful era of one Andy Dalton under center is officially over with him going in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft to the Bengals, where he figures to play almost immediately.
Maybe many backers of the Purple had already accepted the fact that the red-headed wiz under center had played his final game for Gary Patterson but then again, maybe they were still riding the high after finishing the year undefeated thanks to an impressive win in the Rose Bowl over Wisconsin.
There's no doubt about it, Dalton's graduation does leave a pretty big hole not just on the TCU offense but in the room for that matter as he had rightfully evolved into one of the bigger presences on the team throughout his four years in Fort Worth. ...
