ESPN: Why now is the time to reconsider college conference realignment

good example by using Kansas - WVU campus is actually closer to Lawrence than Utah’s campus. but that seems to be besides the point because rather than looking at distance you are counting states? seems reasonable.

but kansas is even closer to iowa and oklahoma, in fact it is touching both of those states while once again there is nothing but space between wvu and the big 12

Nebraska just makes sense with Kansas and Iowa state already here. Both Arizona schools would work. Colorado would be great. Screw what makes sense for distance what makes sense for the Big12 in the long run. Besides taking the 12 out of the name.....

Get Colorado now, play a 10 game round robin conference schedule, no conference championship game.

Or play an 8 game conference schedule with a conference championship game.

Or stay at 10 teams and play an 8 game conference schedule with a conference championship game. We wouldn't get to play UT twice every 18 years. Big deal.

This current 9 game conference schedule with 5 home games one year and 4 the next is stupid.

Agree. Even if we only get one team progress is progress. Colorado or Nebraska would be great. The Big12 is going to have to work to be appealing
