TCU coach Sonny Dykes confirmed reports that he is planning to add former Houston coach Dana Holgorsen to his staff, adding Tuesday that he is also creating a spot for former Hawai'i and Arizona State coach Todd Graham.

Dykes said the two coaches will serve as analysts and advance scouts. Graham, who has a defensive background, will work with the offense. Holgorsen, an offensive mind, will work with the defense, with each trying to find weaknesses they'd attack from their point of view.

"They're talented people that I have known for more than 20 years, who both have been very successful and have a unique perspective," Dykes said. "They can help us win."

This is 2 very good hires. Interesting how they are going to be used, but I think it should be good. Graham probably helps fill a role lost with Joe Gillespie. Former Texas HS coach that should be able help some with recruiting. He does come with some baggage. DH is a very good hire. At WVU he seemed to always find ways to exploit a defense. It definitely felt like Briles days were numbered last fall especially after the ISU and KSU games. If the offense struggles starting out this year I have to think Dykes is going to pull the plug very quickly.

I do not feel very good about Graham on staff. Hopefully, he has learned from his mistakes. In any event, the Dykes coaching rehab clinic is open. Hopefully, it will be successful like the Saben coaching rehab clinic.
Hearing that Graham will lead the motivation and pep talk aspects of the program giving daily feedback regarding practice performance to players both as a group and as individuals.

I like having Holgorson on staff. I genuinely think he is a good guy with a great background. I do not feel very good about Graham on staff. Hopefully, he has learned from his mistakes. In any event, the Dykes coaching rehab clinic is open. Hopefully, it will be successful like the Saben coaching rehab clinic.
No way he has learned.

Holgo and Graham are contrasts to Dykes, which is probably what this team needs. Some people spitting fire at them.

LOL, I was about to make this exact post, word for word.

Yes, by all accounts Todd Graham is a POS, but we are hiring him for his football mind, not culture building. Seems like a perfect way to get him into the program without the baggage of his personality.
Some baggage never seems to get lost in transit.
