The national surge is driven largely by severe outbreaks in a handful of states, according to the<em> Times.</em> The more infectious delta variant has caused <a href="https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/quality/these-2-states-have-high-levels-of-covid-19-transmission-in-every-county-per-cdc.html" target="_blank">significant case spikes</a> in Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana and Florida. </p><p></p><p>6.
