Why everything on and off the field is a blur for Cowboys’ speedster KaVontae Turpin​

FRISCO – The Cowboys have one of the fastest players in the NFL and he’s nearsighted.

If you don’t know what being nearsighted means, it’s an eye condition causing distant objects to appear blurry.

Wide receiver/returner KaVontae Turpin, who’s produced three of the fastest plays in the NFL this season, is nearsighted.

It hasn’t stopped him on the field.

Maybe the locker room or classroom.

“I always knew I was blind,” he joked as the Cowboys’ prepared for a Thanksgiving Day game against the Giants. “I knew. I never took the time out [for glasses]. I didn’t feel like I needed them. On the football field, I don’t feel like I needed them. In the classroom, I sit back, yeah I can’t see the board and stuff like that. That’s the real reason why I got them to watch film.”

Don’t see how he could judge kicks and deep passes if he was playing without glasses/contacts. But it’s great that he’s realizing his potential.

I'm thankful that Turpin plays for the Cowboys. He's the only reason I watch them. Get to see him play every Sunday. So happy for the success he's having.

Idk why they won't use him more on offense. It's a scheissing lost season. Get him 6-7 touches on offense and let him make plays. I'm not talking about scheissing jet sweeps 5 yards behind the los. Throw him the ball out in space and let him run. That slant he took for a td against the Texans is the perfect play for him.

Jameis Winston was one of the best College QBs in history. He threw something like 50 TDs and 50 interceptions in his final year at TB. I do not get why these franchises(TB and NO) in particular don't understand if an asset like your QB needs eye surgery, they don't have plans to move forward. Today I will take Winston over Prescott..
