DMN: TCU players, coaching staff left searching for answers after being upset by SMU

FORT WORTH -- In a rare turn of events -- much like what unfolded on the field -- TCU head coach Gary Patterson wasn't the lone member of the Horned Frogs staff to step up to the podium postgame Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
In and out of the Four Sevens team meeting room walked the Horned Frogs' veteran head coach, short-spoken and as complimentary as could be following No. 25 TCU's eye-opening 41-38 home loss to SMU.
"They outcoached us, they outplayed us ... and they had more emotion," Patterson said. "Our young team learned a valuable lesson."
