DMN: Q&A with DeSoto’s Shawn Robinson: Why he chose TCU, plus his love for Patrick Mahomes, spaghetti and gospel music

Robinson transferred to DeSoto from Denton Guyer before his senior year when his mom took over as DeSoto's girls basketball coach. Robinson led DeSoto to the Class 6A Division II state title in December and was named MVP of the title game. He was also named the Gatorade Texas Player of the Year and SportsDay's All-Area Offensive Player of the Year.
Q & A
What's your best football memory? "I'd probably say the Abilene game [when DeSoto rallied from a 10-point deficit in the final three minutes]. In the Abilene game, we were against all odds, and that's just a great testimony of God. This whole season, God has been with us, and he can just do miraculous things."
