One of The Dallas Morning News’ top 100 Class of 2025 recruits has changed his mine.

Chris Jimerson Jr., a quarterback at North Crowley, announced Wednesday that he is decommitting from TCU. Recruited as a receiver, he said in a post on X/formerly Twitter that he is pursuing “opportunities as a quarterback at the collegiate level.”

So in other words, someone offered him more money. This is why I can't get into recruiting, especially with how things are now in college football. Let me know when they step on the field and then I'll start paying attention to them.

If he wants to play QB at the college level and our staff didn’t see him as a QB fit here then he definitely needs to look around and look at schools where he might be. QB fit. Not a knock on him or our staff.

That said, I never got into recruits until they signed. Now I don't even care about anything other than the game stat lines anymore since they are often not there for the school just the money. Plus they may simply move on the next year. I only support the jersey color now. Don't want to hear their stories or thank yous from donations anymore.
