With the lessened help in the back, the Frogs will need a pure athlete moving around with Bud Clark in the secondary and Smith fits that role perfectly. Smith was recruited as a wide receiver out of high school. </p><p></p><p>Knowing the WR position well is always a benefit mentally for corners, as they know what receivers want to do. This explains the three interceptions from the ball-hawking Smith.
