I always assumed the Animal House bit was faked, it was so awesome. Happy to be wrong:And of course, Bruce McGill (Sheriff Farley) was also D-Day in Animal House and is a Texas guy.
"Bruce McGill grew up in San Antonio, Texas. His mother, Adriel Rose (Jacobs) is an artist, and his father, Woodrow Wilson McGill, is a real estate and insurance agent. He graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School San Antonio, where he acted in the department of theatre, and from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in drama. His love for acting stems back to elementary school. He is related to former Texas State Senator A.R. Schwartz. McGill has starred in many films. His role as "D-Day" in National Lampoon's Animal House (1978), taken out of desperation as a young unemployed actor, ended up being his most well known. His long acting career also includes films, Wildcats, The Last Boy Scout, My Cousin Vinny, Cliffhanger, Timecop, The Legend of Bagger Vance, The Sum of All Fears, along with many others. McGill starred in many television roles, including portraying the Boston Police Homicide Detective Vince Korsak on the TNT television crime drama, Rizzoli & Isles. The character of Korsak is the mentor and friend of Detective Jane Rizzoli, portrayed by Angie Harmon. Director Michael Mann, considers McGill a favorite, having worked with him on The Insider, Ali and Collateral. He has also appeared in four HBO TV films, CIA Director George Tenet in Oliver Stone's film W and, also, Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton in Steven Spielberg's Lincoln. McGill has been married to his wife Gloria since 1994."
She won an Academy Award for her performance…Such a funny film. Marisa Tomei was great.
That outfit comes to mind everytime I hear her name or this movie. Then there's her "camping" outfit. Doesn't every gal wear this in the wilderness?
He has always struck me as one of those guys who is pleasant and fun to be around, which is why he is constantly getting work. And of course, Bruce McGill (Sheriff Farley) was also D-Day in Animal House and is a Texas guy.

Is that points or TDs?Utah is only -4.5 in this!
I met him on a cruise a few years ago. He was a guest lecturer. He had interesting stories to tell, of course. No Hollywood gossip stories. Just an inside look into what it's like to make a movie or television episode. He told of picking up his sheriff's uniform from wardrobe for My Cousin Vinny and how it was too tight. They told him it was supposed to be too tight. They wanted him to look like he'd gained weight since starting the job. Tidbits like that.He has always struck me as one of those guys who is pleasant and fun to be around, which is why he is constantly getting work.
Oh, and they left out Babylon 5.
Doesn't matter. Dude will be a 2025 pre-season Heisman candidate after we're done with him.I guess this could be good news. Of course with this year's Frogs it's probably unlikely
