Daily Oklahoman: Kennedy Brooks' breakout game fuels Sooners' 52-27 win over TCU

FORT WORTH, Texas — With one of the nation's best quarterbacks and perhaps the best receiving tandem in Oklahoma's storied history, Lincoln Riley made the decision to keep the ball on the ground.
In the fourth quarter of Saturday's game against TCU, Riley relied on Kennedy Brooks and Trey Sermon to get the job done.
Instead of grinding it out, though, Brooks and Sermon kept the pedal down, combining to go 71 yards on just four plays in less than two minutes to seal Oklahoma's eventual 52-27 win over the Horned Frogs at Amon G. Carter Stadium and leave the Sooners feeling better about themselves after two tumultuous weeks.
