Austin — The College World Series doesn't start in Omaha until next Friday. But here in Texas, it's well under way.
Nobody knows that better than former Navarro skipper and current Longhorns pitching coach Skip Johnson, whose blue-ribbon pitching staff takes on a hungry TCU Horned Frogs team at 2 p.m. today in a three-game series with a trip to historic Rosenblatt Stadium on the line.
If the NCAA seeded the baseball postseason by performance instead of geographically, these two teams would meet in Omaha, Neb., not Austin. Instead, the two duke it out for the right to represent the Lone Star State in Rosenblatt's final chapter. ...
