Obviously this decision allows the national media to bash the Big 12 for not having a championship game. However, what the talking heads don't want to talk about is that the other power 4 conference championships failed to match the best two teams in the conference.
Missouri was no better than the 5th best team in the SEC
Arizona was a shell of its former self and clearly not the second best Pac12 team
Wisconsin was no better than the 4th best team in the BiG
The whole ACC sucked
