Matthews, who’s breaking in some new receivers, picked up where he left off from his stunning junior season, as he was a pinpoint 16 of 20 for 226 yards with no picks, nine of his completions going to Hart for 149 yards.
Matthews was 12 of 15 in the first half and basically shut it down after intermission,

Hendrickson running back Daje Johnson scored on a 15-yard run on the first play of the second quarter to cut Lake Travis' lead to 10-6, but Mayfield contributed three touchdown passes and a scoring run on Lake Travis' next four possessions.


The Cavaliers posted the 29-point victory without the services of Gilbert, a TCU-bound wide receiver, and Lagasse, a quarterback who has been recruited to SMU as an athlete. The Lake Travis View reported this week that Gilbert and Lagasse were sidelined with groin and shoulder injuries, respectively, while Nixon, a sophomore running back who had an 11-yard touchdown run in his varsity debut last week, was suffering from a toe injury.
