Hugh Freeze?

I don't know that Mario will take it, but he's from Florida and may want to get out of the Pacific Northwest.

Plus, Coaches aren't really beating down doors to coach in the PAC-12 any longer.

yep, freeze has been mentioned for the job.

uo has great facilities, great support, they have a solid brand, and they have recruited well under mario.

the road to the championship is easier that way than going through bama as long as saban is around, and when it comes to recruiting you are having to fight with not only the sec, but clemson, unc, the florida schools, and a few other interlopers.

Freeze is still too radioactive right now.

IMO, Mario sees recruiting high level players to Auburn as easier than to Oregon. Just so many more players in the area.

Probably verified this when Auburn (with a true freshman QB) beat his Oregon team (with a NFL QB) last year.

mario has the #6 class right now and oregon blew that game last year which is a rep he is starting to building in eugene

his style of play on the offensive end is very similar to the very thing auburn fans were unhappy with gus

I think he is definitely a good recruiter. I'm not sure what else he does well. Supposedly a good O-Line coach.

Malzahn has consistently had Top 10 recruiting classes but the talent gap between them and Bama or UGA is pretty wide.
